Yvette Kendrick was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. She is a “big city” girl at heart with great memories of family gatherings with lots of food, music and dancing! Yvette attributes much of her passion for connecting people, hosting gatherings as well as community events to fun family gatherings growing up in Chicago. 

Following high school, Yvette pursued a career in the travel industry. Upon completing her training and certification, Yvette began working as a Leisure Travel Consultant for an agency with a focus on travel to Latin America. After three years, Yvette transitioned to the corporate travel arena which was in alignment with her vision for growth in the industry and provided more opportunities while serving a corporate clientele. As a Corporate Travel Consultant for various corporations, Yvette worked with many high level and high demand executives. She grew in her customer service skills, managerial skills while planning business travel for high demand travelers and learning that “calm is strength.” 

In 2001 after September 11, when the travel industry began undergoing many changes, Yvette decided to make a career change to the legal field. She became a Legal Assistant for a small law firm in downtown Chicago. In 2006, Yvette moved to Orlando to leave the brutal winter and be closer to family. From 2006 to 2016, she worked as a Case Manager for a local law firm. 

In 2016, Yvette became licensed as a real estate agent and joined her husband Kevin to form The Kendrick Team. Yvette focuses on coming alongside sellers throughout the home staging process as well as customer nurturing. She is passionate about building community, connecting with other women to support and encourage growth in every season of life.
